Tender Surrender

(Written by Ballester/Cherrington)

Sweet Elephant
Blessing a human friend
Cuddly Koala-bear
Seeing a newborn child
Vulnerable and pure
Natural tenderness

Stroking my purring friend
Don’t always to do the same
with old fear and pain
fighting life is rough,
No time for tenderness
The shoulders are so tight
My back can’t take no more

Tender surrender
Embracing all tears
Holding on is so hard
Obscuring my dreams
Tender surrender
Rolling down my cheeks

Seeing a ladybird
Don’t seem to be the same
With spiders and snakes
Tenderly they come
Revealing some unease
Gracefully they come
Tickling old beliefs
